STUDIO LIGUORI STRATTON
About
Welcome to Studio Liguori Stratton.
My name is Alisa Liguori Stratton, and I am an artist, wildfire survivor and retired clinical psychologist.
In 2017, Sonoma County, California experienced a firestorm which destroyed tens of thousands of homes. Our home was one of those.
The sudden loss of my home, belongings and neighborhood, as well as my background in art and psychology, contributed to my decision to reorient myself towards my creative work.
Utilizing photography, painting and mixed media, I now create both figurative and abstract work which centers around themes ranging from human resilience, loss of housing and historic places to concerns relating to the increasing loss of wildlife, the destruction of wildlife habitat and the profound damage to our environment in locations across the globe.
In addition to a my graduate degrees in psychology and clinical psychology, I hold a B.A. in Studio Art from Scripps College in Claremont, California.
A native Californian, I am now living in Michigan.
